Level Up Your SAT Prep: Streaks, Badges & Points

A Whole New Way to Practice

Studying for the SAT is a marathon, not a sprint. To make the journey more engaging and rewarding, I'm thrilled to announce a massive update to Sat DB, introducing a complete gamification system designed to celebrate your consistency and hard work (that I definitely didn't steal from Duolingo).

Here’s a breakdown of what’s new on your Account Page.

Weekly Streaks

Consistency is the single most important factor in improving your score. To help you stay on track, you can now build a Weekly Streak. Simply complete at least one practice test each week to keep your streak alive. It’s a simple way to hold yourself accountable and build a good study habit.

Badges

Your achievements now come with recognition. We've added a Badge Collection system with four categories, each with Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers to unlock:

  • Streak Badges: Awarded for maintaining your practice streak over multiple weeks.
  • Completion Badges: Earned by completing a certain number of total tests.
  • Math Accuracy Badges: Unlocked by achieving high scores on Math sections.
  • Reading & Writing Accuracy Badges: Unlocked by excelling in the Reading & Writing sections.

You can view your entire collection and see what it takes to earn the next tier on your account page.

Points & Daily Tasks

You now earn Points for your efforts. You'll get a big reward for every test you complete, but you can also earn smaller amounts by completing Daily Tasks. These are simple objectives, like logging in for the day or starting a new practice session, that help you stay engaged with your prep.

Cosmetics Store

What good are points if you can't spend them? Introducing the Cosmetics Store, where you can redeem your hard-earned points for exclusive items to show off your hard work on the Wall of Fame.

Current items include:

  • Colored Names: Stand out from the crowd with a vibrant name color.
  • Special Fonts: Change your name's font to something more unique.
  • Animated Effects: Go for the ultimate prestige with animated effects like a golden glow or a shimmering rainbow gradient.
